Made of Sugar and Spice Girly Girl Parties is a place for girls to celebrate their birthdays in a fun and magical way, while being virtually hassle-free for parents.
We are proud to celebrate only one birthday at a time and strive hard to maintain our "uniqueness". We are not a "cookie cutter" birthday place, but instead offer the flexibility and personal attention necessary to make a party "uniquely" yours. I am grateful for our accomplishments, successes, my loyal staff and the many smiles that are created over and over. It takes a lot of work, training and stamina...but at the end of each day, I know I have made a difference in the lives of everyone involved!

about Celebrating HER!
It's taking a moment to celebrate being a girl and all that comes with being a girl. It's not just about dressing up, hair and make-up; although ask a 7 year old and this is what it's ALL about! Made of Sugar and Spice is a place where girls are encouraged to use their imagination, be creative, strengthen relationships with other girls, improve self esteem and of course have FUN! While there is lots of glitz and glamour, the deeper message is about respecting ourselves, realizing our inner beauty and reaffirming our friendships with other girls. It's being EMPOWERED to make good choices and live life to its fullest. It's about being a GIRL.
Lastly, I am so pleased and proud to introduce Walls of Clay! Walls of Clay is a Paint-Your-Own-Pottery Studio that has been located in historic downtown McKinney for the past 10 years. Located just 2 doors away from Made of Sugar and Spice (how convenient!), I took over ownership in October of 2010. My daughter, Georgia, and I are long-time customers of Walls of Clay. IN FACT, when we were house hunting and figuring out whether or not we should make the move from New York to Texas, Walls of Clay was on the list of stops and we had a ball! So this endeavor is especially meaningful and boy has it been a whirlwind - literally!! And I still haven't had a chance to catch my breath!! If I thought motherhood while managing a business and family life was overwhelming, I had no idea how it would feel to manage TWO businesses! But it is through the support of my family and friends that this is all possible and I am humble and forever grateful for the support system that surrounds me!

My search for balance between career, being a mom
and a wife has been
precarious at times, rewarding and certainly has involved a steep
learning curve! But I feel empowered by my decisions and
experiences and want to take part, even if it's just for a day, in
sharing this empowerment with young girls in our community as well
as the wonderful high school & college girls that work for me. As an
employer, it's my responsibility to train well, raise the bar of
what is expected and create positive attitudes among my staff.
And as a customer; you reap the benefits of our training and
dedication because as a team, we deliver a fabulous party.
