Made of Sugar and Spice Girly Girl Parties is a place for girls to celebrate their birthdays in a fun and magical way, while being virtually hassle-free for parents.
We are proud to celebrate only one birthday at a time and strive hard to maintain our "uniqueness". We are not the cookie cutter birthday place, but instead offer the flexibility and personal attention necessary to make a party "uniquely" yours.
Made of Sugar and Spice is not a franchise, but rather owned by myself, Jenn Meyer. Along with my husband and two elementary aged children, we moved from Long Island, New York to McKinney, Texas in 2005. After an 11+ year career in marketing and graphic design, I resigned to become a high school teacher. And most recently taught pre-k here in McKinney.
My search for balance between career, being a mom
and a wife has been
precarious at times, rewarding and certainly has involved a steep
learning curve! But I feel empowered by my decisions and
experiences and want to take part, even if it's just for a day, in
sharing this empowerment with young girls in our community.

It's taking a moment to celebrate being a girl and all that comes with being a girl. It's not just about dressing up, hair and make-up; although ask a 7 year old and this is what it's ALL about! Made of Sugar and Spice is a place where girls are encouraged to use their imagination, be creative, strengthen relationships with other girls, improve self esteem and of course have FUN! While there is lots of glitz and glamour, the deeper message is about respecting ourselves, realizing our inner beauty and reaffirming our friendships with other girls. It's being EMPOWERED to make good choices and live life to its fullest. It's about being a GIRL.
